John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin said Monday that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is pregnant.
A statement released by the campaign said that Bristol Palin will keep her baby and marry the child's father.
"Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We're proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents," Sarah and Todd Palin said in the brief statement.
"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family," they added.
Senior McCain advisers said the Arizona senator and his top aides had known about Bristol's pregnancy before offering Palin the No. 2 spot on the GOP ticket.
Oh my goodness!! LOL This is all part of the cover up. What does her daughter being pregnant now have to do with the "rumor" of her being pregnant over 9 months ago!! It's just soooo funny how they are putting this out now....If America falls for this we are doomed!!
If John Mc Cain had used the judgement that he claims he had, he would have vetted Sarah Palin, he would have found out much more of the events in her life. This goes to show that John McCain is not ready to be the President of the United States. He once told the media that Barack Obama would do anything or say anything to be the President, Looks like he has contradicted his own statement. How can you vet someone that you have only met once, prior to choosing your Vice President. Is this the type of judgement we need at this time running our country? As far as for Sarah Palin, there is no way at this point in time She could even pass judgment regarding family values. We need a president that is willing to do the homework, to make the right decision for our country. John Mc Cain failed in doing this. His judgement is off course , naive, and his bearings are so off course it just scares me to see where this country would be IF he becomes President
I agree - this was a completely inexplicable and irresponsible choice for V.P. Is this the kind of snap judgments we want from a commander in cheif when the going gets tough? McCain seems to be losing his handle on reality.
